Beyond Armageddon — The Battle
Revelation 19:11-21

  1. Different Stages Of Christ’s Second Coming:
    1. Coming On The Clouds :
      • Daniel 14:13-14 — Christ appears before the throne room of God to take possession of the kingdom.
      • Revelation 14:14 — Christ appears on the clouds with a crown and a sharp sickle.
      • Matthew 24:30 — Christ appears on the cloud with God’s glory after the tribulation; all see Him.

    2. The Rapture Occurs :
      • Matthew 24:31 — Christ on the cloud sends His angels to gather His children all over the world.
      • 1 Thess. 4:16-17 — Paul reveals what will happen at the time of the rapture to the dead in Christ and the believers who are still alive.
      • Revelation 14:15-16 — From the clouds, Christ thrust in His sickle and the harvest is reaped.

    3. The Wrath Of God :
      • Revelation 19:13 — Jesus Christ appears in heaven with a robe dipped in blood. Why?
      • Isaiah 63:1-4 — Christ administers the wrath of God and He is sprinkled with the people’s blood.
      • Revelation 19:15 — Jesus treads the winepress of the wrath of God.

    4. Jesus Appears On A White Horse Ready For The Battle :
      • Revelation 19:7-9 — The Bride of Christ prepares for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
      • Revelation 19:14 — The armies of heaven, the Bride, follow Him to the Battle of Armageddon.
      • Revelation 19:11-16 — Christ’s appearance as He comes into the battle.

    5. The Battle Of Armageddon :
      • Revelation 19:11-16 — Christ’s appearance as He comes into the battle.
      • Revelation 19:17-18 — An angel calls for the birds of the earth to come to the great supper of God.
      • Revelation 19:19 —

        The beast/antichrist has brought all the kings of the earth and their armies to fight against Jesus and the armies of heaven at a place called Armageddon

      • Psalm 2 — David writes about this battle
      • Revelation 17:12-14 — The kings of the earth who are coming to the battle with their armies.
      • Revelation 19:20 — The beast/antichrist and the false prophets are captured and sent into the lake of fire forever.
      • Revelation 19:21 — All the kings of the earth and their armies are destroyed and killed by the sword that comes out of the mouth of King Jesus.
      • Revelation 20:1-3 The dragon/serpent/devil/Satan is captured and cast in chains into the bottomless pit for a thousand years.
