Propitiation — The righteous indignation or wrath of God against sin has been “appeased” by the blood of Jesus, which is applied to our sins.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1
And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 2:2

to be
the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10

it is
the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. Gal. 2:16
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Rom. 3:28
Righteousness — declared righteous in Christ—Right standing before God
For He made Him who knew no sin
to be
sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor. 5:21
For Christ
is
the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:4
But the spirit
is
life because of righteousness. Romans 8:10
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness. Romans 10:10.
But that which
is
through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith. Phil. 3:9
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness. 1 Peter 2:24
For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds
the righteousness
of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20
And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. Romans 6:18
