DOMINION TEACHINGS AND END-TIME APOSTLES AND PROPHETS
Dominion Theology is also known as “Kingdom Now.” In its basic form and teachings, it states that after Jesus’s resurrection and ascension to the Father, he gave power to the church to bring about the kingdom and bring the entire world under the dominion of Christianity. Presently a new breed of apostles and prophets have supposedly received power from God [with new revelations!] to lead the church in taking over the world, restore all things, and hand over to Jesus at His return a restored and Christianized world —
This is another gospel!
NEW REVELATIONS! WARNINGS!
* In order to bring about all the false teachings and concepts that this movement advocates, they have wrapped it all under the mantle of “New Revelations” given to the prophets. — INCORRECT!
PAUL WARNS:
“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8
PETER WARNS:
“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies… And many will follow their destructive ways… By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words.” 2 Peter 2:1-3
JOHN WARNS:
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
SPECIAL WARNING FROM JESUS:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits… Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit… Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:15-20
NEW END-TIME APOSTLES AND PROPHETS:
One main foundation teaching of the “Kingdom Now” movement is the concept that now at the end of time the Almighty God is raising a new group of apostles and prophets to lead the church in taking dominion over the world — INCORRECT!
They are basing their belief on Ephesians 4:11 — “And He Himself gave some
to be
apostles
, some
prophets
, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.”
Main Concepts of their Belief [ALL INCORRECT!]:
God has called, anointed, and empowered new apostles and prophets in order to take the dominion of the world back from Satan and establish God’s Kingdom — they claim that Jesus already defeated Satan and took away the dominion of the world.
God will give this selected group of men a supernatural power in order to accomplish the task.
With God’s power, they will lead the church to take dominion over the main governments of the world, social institutions, finances, and armies.
The church under the leadership of apostles and prophets will help reverse the curse and there will be no more wars, famine, sickness, and all that has plague humanity because of the curse.
Once they accomplish this task, Jesus will then be ready to return to a world that has been restored by the church under the leadership of apostles and prophets and King Jesus will then begin His Kingdom.
The church led by apostles and prophets will put all Jesus’ enemies under His feet.
BIG PROBLEMS WITH THIS TEACHING!!
Jude said:
“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
to execute judgment
on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” Jude 1:14-15
King David said:
“For He is coming, for
He is coming to judge the earth
. He shall judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with His truth.” Psalm 96:13
Paul said:
“When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire
taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
Peter said:
“But the heavens and the earth
which
are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until
the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
” 2 Peter 3:7
PAUL’S ACCOUNT OF THE END CONTRADICTS WHAT “KINGDOM NOW” TEACHES:
1 Corinthians 15:24-27
Then
comes
the end, when
He
delivers the kingdom to God the Father.
When
He
puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
For He must reign till
He
has put all enemies under His feet.
The last enemy
that
will be destroyed is death.
For “He has put all things under His feet.”
* It is Jesus Christ Himself who will execute judgment when He returns — not the apostles and prophets and all who follow them.
WHO ARE THESE “NEW APOSTLES AND PROPHETS”? KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS:
They are deceivers — Jesus [Mat. 24:4]
They are wolfs in sheep’ clothing — Jesus [Matt. 7:15]
They bring destructive heresies — Peter [2 Peter 2:1-3]
They follow doctrines of demons — Paul [1 Tim. 4:1]
They are avaricious and exploit the people — Peter [2 Peter 2:3]
They are presumptuous, self-willed with controlling spirit — Peter [2 Peter 2:10-19]
They are proud and arrogant — Jesus [Mat. 23:4-7]
THE FRUITS OF A TRUE FOLLOWER OF JESUS:
Servant of all & humble — Mat. 23:11-12
Whoever wants to be first must be a slave of all — Matt. 20:27
Become like a little child — Matt. 18:4
Must deny himself — Mark 8:34
Must pick up his cross to follow Jesus and die with Him — Mark 8:34
Willing to give his life for the gospel — Mark 8:35
Meek, poor in spirit, merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers — Matthew 5:3-9
