DOMINION TEACHINGS AND THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS

Dominion Theology is also known as “Kingdom Now.” In its basic form and teachings, it states that after Jesus’s resurrection and ascension to the Father, he gave power to the church to bring about the kingdom and bring the entire world under the dominion of Christianity. Presently a new breed of apostles and prophets have supposedly received power from God [with new revelations!] to lead the church in taking over the world, restore all things, and hand over to Jesus at His return a restored and Christianized world — This is another gospel!

“KINGDOM NOW”, DOMINION TEACHINGS:

Foundation verse: Then God blessed them[Adam and Eve], and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28 NKJV
DOMINION NOW: They teach — God has revealed to the church that with new apostles and prophets HE is raising up and empowering at this time, the church is going to take back the dominion of this earth from Satan and establish God’s Kingdom upon the earth and then Jesus will return to be the King of that kingdom.

JESUS’ WORDS ON “KINGDOM NOW”:

Jesus taught His disciples to pray to the Father, “Your kingdom come.” Matt. 6:10 [Jesus did not say that the kingdom had arrived]
Jesus’ first words when He began His ministry: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matt. 4:17 NKJV [Jesus did not say that the kingdom was here]
When Jesus sent His disciples on the first commission to Israel, He told them to proclaim the same thing: “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” Matthew 10:7 NKJV
After the resurrection, and just before Jesus was going back to the Father, the disciples were eager to know if the time of the kingdom had arrived: Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
Jesus was quick to respond: “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.” Acts 1:6-7 NKJV
IMPORTANT: Only the Father knows when the Kingdom will be established and that is why Jesus tells us to pray to the Father and ask Him to establish His Kingdom — humans will not establish it!

THE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN SATAN AND JESUS AND THE OFFER OF THE KINGDOM:

‘Then the devil, taking Him [Jesus] up on a high mountain, showed Him[Jesus] all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him[Jesus], “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.”’ Luke 4:5-6 NKJV
IMPORTANT! Jesus did NOT rebuke the devil in this statement. Jesus just told the devil that HE was serving God only. [Luke 4:8]
IMPORTANT! Even though the devil showed Jesus physical places around the world, the reality is that he and his spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places are controlling those physical places.

JESUS’ WORDS ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS:

Jesus declared that Satan had a kingdom when the Pharisees accused Him of doing all the miracles with the power of Beelzebub, the rulers of the demons, He answered them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?" Matthew 12:25-26 NKJV
Jesus declared that Satan was the ruler of this world just before Jesus was apprehended, this is what He said to His disciples: “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” John 14:30 NKJV
Jesus declared that His Kingdom was not of this world when He faced Pilate during His trial, this is what He told the governor: “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” John 18:36

THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS IS NOT A PHYSICAL KINGDOM, BUT A SPIRITUAL ONE:

PAUL:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
” Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
PAUL: To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places. Ephesians 3:10
HEBREWS: Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:14-15 NKJV
PETER: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith.” 1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV
