THE FALSE PROPHET AND THE MARK OF THE BEAST

1. THE SECOND BEAST OF REVELATION 13 ATTACKS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST :
• The apostle John warned: Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast. Revelation 13:11-12
• Jesus warned: “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:24
• The 2 powers of the second beast :
1. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
2. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:12-18
• God will send an angel to warn the world not to take the mark or worship the image of the beast. Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God. Revelation 14:9-10


2. THE WRATH OF SATAN AGAINST BELIEVERS OF JESUS CHRIST :
• The false prophet , the second beast , will bring 3 deadly tools to come against Christians :
1. He will bring deception [Rev. 13:13-14]
2. He will force the adoration of the image of the Antichrist, the first beast . [Rev. 13:12-15]
3. He will force people to take the mark of the beast. [Rev. 13:16-18]
• The response of believers :
  • They will be martyred : And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass. [Rev. 15:2] [The martyrs in heaven]
  • They will be martyred : Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. [Revelation 20:4]
  • They will be martyred : And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. [Rev. 12:11]
  • They will be martyred : Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. [Rev. 6:11]
