Have you ever been in the middle of great problems, persecution, afflictions and you feel that it is coming from all sides? But yet, you cannot see your enemy neither do you know who your enemy is. I have to tell you that many of our battles and conflicts come from the kingdom of darkness — Satan’s kingdom. Jesus said that Satan has a kingdom: Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? [Luke 11:17-18] Jesus also called the enemy the ruler of this world.[John 14:30] Paul explained that s. is the god of this age and he keeps those who are not believers under his control in his kingdom: But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded. [2 Corinthians 4:4] Satan is the head of his kingdom, but like a well-established dictatorial system, it also has other layers of power like Paul For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.[Ephesians 6:12] There are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and an immense army of demons that are constantly being sent to do all the devil’s evil works. Now these rulers and powers and demons, humans cannot see. If you try to defend against them with human weapons, you can’t — they are spiritual beings. If you try to protect your home and loved ones with an alarm or the best protection system, it won’t work either. The spiritual battles that are constantly coming against you are not in the natural world, but in the spiritual atmosphere of this world. You will not see your enemy, but he will see you. He will work in your mind, in your emotions, and against your flesh. [Romans 7:15-25] The enemy will have no mercy on you because he comes except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.[John 10:10] Satan is keeping the unsaved people in the world blinded and in bondage and even though he cannot do that to believers he finds other ways to attack.[1 Peter 5:8-9] But we are going to see how the Lord has already given born again believers a new covering [Luke 10:18] and His power and authority to come against the enemy and defeat him.[Mat. 28:18; Luke 10:19; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 9:1]
