JESUS CHRIST GIVES ETERNAL LIFE
And
HE SEALS US WITH HIS SPIRIT

  1. Jesus Reveals That He Gives Eternal Life :
    • Jesus explains what happens to His sheep [born again believers]: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28 NKJV

    • Jesus explains why He will not lose any of His sheep: “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” John 10:29-30 NKJV.
    • Jesus reveals that those who are born again of the Spirit [John 3:3, 5,6.8] have gone from death to life: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 NKJV. [No judgment for believers]
    • Jesus reveals the Father’s love for a lost world: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
    • Jesus reveals that the person who is born again receives the eternal life at the moment of salvation and not in eternity: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” John 6:47 NKJV [The person has gone from spiritual death to spiritual life (John 5:24)]

  2. Can Born Again Believers Lose Their Eternal Life If They Sin ?
    • Paul explains what happens when we are saved: “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” Colossians 1:13 NKJV
      • When we are born again, the Father takes us out of Satan’s kingdom of darkness where we were slaves to sin [Titus 3:3] and the Father brings us to the Kingdom of the Son of His love, Jesus Christ.
      • Once the Father gives the Son those who are born again, nothing can take them out of the Father’s hand since His power is above all, like Jesus explained in John 10:29-30.
      • There is not one verse in the New Testament that proclaims that we can be taken out of the Son’s Kingdom and brought back to Satan’s kingdom of darkness.
      • There is not one verse in the Bible where Jesus states that we can lose our eternal life.
      • Jesus said that when we are born again, we pass from death to life [john 5:24], AND there is not one verse in the Bible where Jesus states that we can pass from life back to death when we sin.

  3. We Have To Understand How We Are Born Again In Order To Understand Eternal Life :
    • Jesus warns: “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:3, 5, 6 NKJV [Being born again is extremely important since it is the key to enter the Kingdom of God.]
    • Paul explains what happens when we are born again:
      • “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” Ephesians 1:13 NKJV
      • You must hear the gospel of salvation since faith comes by hearing the Word of God. [Romans 10:17]
      • You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; you must believe that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins; you must believe that he resurrected on the 3rd day. [Isaiah 53; Acts 10:39-41, 43; Matthew 1:21; Romans 10:9-11]
      • You must believe that Jesus Christ through His death on the cross is the only One who can save us from our sins by washing them with His blood. [Rev. 1:5; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:13; Hebrews 9:14; Luke 22:20]
      • We must repent and ask Jesus to forgive our sins:
        • Jesus said: “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47 NKJV
        • Peter said:“Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:31 NKJV
        • Peter said:Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
        • Paul said: “Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins” Acts 13:38 NKJV
    • Paul continues to explain what happens after repentance and forgiveness of sins by the blood of Jesus:“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:5-7 NKJV
      • Once we repent and our sins are forgiven and washed in the blood of Jesus, then Jesus gives us His Holy Spirit. [Jesus does not send the Spirit until all sins have been washed in His precious blood when there was genuine repentance with contrition]
      • Once the Spirit comes into our dead spirit, He changes it from death to life [John 5:24]. This is something we cannot see happening inside of us, but we know it by faith [John 3:8].
      • Once the Spirit comes into our dead spirit and gives it eternal life, then we are sealed with the Spirit.
        • “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” Ephesians 1:13 NKJV
        • “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30 NKJV
        • “Who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” 2 Corinthians 1:22 NKJV
      • VERY IMPORTANT: Once Jesus washes our sins with His blood, and He sends His Spirit to our spirit giving us eternal life, then the spirit seals us for the day of redemption. That seal of the Spirit nothing or nobody can open it except Jesus. The eternal life that the Spirit gives, nothing or no one can take it away because it has been sealed by the Spirit. Jesus says the Father gives HIM all who are born again at the moment of salvation when they are taken out of the power of darkness and that the Father who gave them to Him is greater than all.
      • Jesus revealed to Paul his mission to the Gentiles:“To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." Acts 26:18 NKJV

  4. Baptized Into The Body Of Christ :
    • Paul reveals what happens once we are born again and sealed with the Spirit:
      • “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:13 NKJV [The Spirit baptizes us into the Body of Christ, which is a spiritual reality and that is where we are, IN Christ, IN HIM!
      • There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2 NKJV
      • “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” Ephesians 1:4 NKJV [In Christ, the Father sees us holy and blameless in His sight]
      • “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV [In Christ, we have His righteousness]
      • “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” 1 Corinthians 1:30 NKJV [In Christ we have all the Father wants to give us, but outside of Christ, we have nothing]

  5. What Happens When Born Again Believers Sin In Rebellion ?
    • Jesus teaches: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV [The devil can take all even our physical life, but he cannot take our eternal life that has the Spirit’s seal.]
    • Paul teaches about what to do with the man who was sinning and not repenting in the church in Corinth: “Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” 1 Cor. 5:5 NKJV
    • John teaches what we need to do if we sin: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9 NKJV
    • THANK YOU JESUS!!!
