The Kingdom of God
Lesson #1 & Video #1
Everlasting Spiritual Reality

  1. Two Realities — Spiritual and Material :

    • Humans exist in a material reality composed of matter in the forms of gas, liquid, and solid.
    • That is the reality where we are born, we live, and we die. Our minds are designed to function in this material reality and people have a hard time understanding that there is yet, another reality — a spiritual reality.
    • The Word of God, the Bible, declares what that spiritual reality is like. But most importantly, it reveals God — the ever-existing, everlasting God, the Great I AM!

  2. Everlasting to Everlasting — Witnesses of the Spiritual Reality
    1. MOSES:
      • Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible and he, led by the Holy Spirit, explained about God’s Kingdom and how the material reality came into being within God’s spiritual reality.
      • God, the Great I AM, revealed Himself to Moses and called him to do an assignment for HIM.
      • The Almighty God spoke with Moses many times and HE revealed great things to the prophet.
      • This is how Moses described the reality of God in a psalm he wrote: “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting You are God.” Psalm 90:2

    2. DAVID:
      • David had a great revelation of the spiritual reality of the Almighty God, and he wrote about this reality in many of his psalms:
      • “Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.” Psalm 93:2

      • "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.” Psalm 45:6

      • “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.” Psalm 146:13

    3. ISAIAH:
      • A prophet of God, writing about God: “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.” Isaiah 40:28

    4. HABAKKUK:
      • The prophet writing about the Mighty God: “Are You not from everlasting; O LORD, my God, my Holy One?” Habakkuk 1:12

THE ALMIGHTY GOD: Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides ME…for I raise My hand to heaven and say,“As I live forever.” Deut. 32:39-40

      • Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting — 1 Chron. 16:36.

      GOD’S KINGDOM
      • Everything that exists is found within the Kingdom of God
      • It is a spiritual reality that has no beginning and no end — from everlasting to everlasting.
      • The everlasting, all powerful, omnipresent, omniscient, sovereign God rules His Kingdom from His throne room.
