Angelic Creation
Angelic Creation Ministering before the Throne of God:
Before the eternal God created the material reality, angels were created to serve God and to minister before his throne.
The prophet Daniel had a vision of God’s throne room where he saw the mighty God sitting on His throne with a countless number of angelic beings ministering before Him and this is how Daniel described the scene:
“I watched till thrones were put in place and the Ancient of Days was seated; His throne was a fiery flame…
A thousand thousands ministered to Him.”
Daniel 7:9-10
When Jesus gave the apostle John His revelation of the end-time, John was taken to heaven and there the apostle saw before the throne of God a sea of glass, like crystal, and this is what the apostle reported:
“Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and
the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,
saying with a loud voice:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
Revelation 5:11-12
David declares in Psalm 148:2—
“Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!”
And in Psalm 103:19-21:
“The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. Bless the LORD, you His angels who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.”
Angels on assignments:
Ministering to God’s people:
Psalm 91:11-12—For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In
their
hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Psalm 34:7—The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.
Serving God in His army:
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and
all the holy angels
with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.” Matthew 25:31
“Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than
twelve legions of angels?”
Matthew 26:53
“And war broke out in heaven:
Michael and his angels fought
with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.” Revelation 12:7-8
And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him,
“Are
You for us or for our adversaries?” So He said, “No, but
as
Commander of the army of the LORD
I have now come.” Joshua 5:13-14
Bringing messages from God to His people:
And I heard a man’s voice between
the banks of
the Ulai, who called, and said,“Gabriel, make this
man
understand the vision.” Daniel 8:16
And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.” Luke 1:19
“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth.” Luke 1:26
Who was the special angel Lucifer/Satan?
Son of the morning or Day Star (Is. 14:12)
Was the seal of perfection in God’s angelic creation, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. Every precious stone covered him and musical abilities were also given to him (Ezekiel 28:12-13)
He was the anointed cherub who covered God’s glory. He was in the holy mountain of God and he walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. (Ezekiel 28:14)
What happened to Lucifer/Satan?
He was perfect in all his ways until iniquity was found in him. (Ez. 28:15)
Because of his beauty his heart became proud and he corrupted his wisdom for the sake of his splendor. (Ez. 28:17)
