1. JESUS CHRIST AND THE REALITY OF THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS :
• The devil came to attack and to tempt Jesus at the beginning of His ministry — Luke 4:1-13
• Jesus declared that Satan/the devil has a kingdom — “But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Luke 11:17-18
• Jesus called the Pharisees and the religious leaders who came against Him and who accused Him of being of the devil, he called them the children of the devil — You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44
• Jesus called the devil the prince of this world — John 14:30


2. WARNING FROM JESUS’ APOSTLES REGARDING THE DEVIL’S ATTACKS :
• PETER: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9
• JAMES: “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:7-8
• PAUL:
  • “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.” Eph. 2:1-3
  • “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
  • “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish.” 2 Thess. 2:9-10
  • “Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Cor. 2:10-11
  
                               



3. HOW WE CAN PREPARE FOR THE ATTACKS OF THE DEVIL AND HIS MANY DEMONIC SPIRITS :
   PAUL SAID:
   • Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
   • Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
   • For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly
   • Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
   • Having girded your waist with truth
   • Having put on the breastplate of righteousness
   • Having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace
   • Taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one
   • Take the helmet of salvation
   • The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
   • Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit
   • Being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
