SALVATION — BELIEVE JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS AND HE RESURRECTED, REPENT AND HE FORGIVES
SALVATION :
All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved [Romans 10:13]
All that believe in His name will be saved [John 1:12]
In the only name that there is salvation [Acts 4:12]
SENT TO TELL THE GOOD NEWS — THE GOSPEL :
The gospel is the power of God onto salvation [Romans 1:16]
Paul asks: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Romans 10:14-15
Jesus sent His disciples to preach the gospel: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15-16
Why do they have to tell: Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God: His life, death on the cross, resurrection, and victory over sin
Receive the faith to believe — Jesus is the Son of God; He is the Savior of world; on the cross He died for the sin of humanity, which came in the Garden; He is the only One who can forgive and save from sins.
With the heart one believes: “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness.” Romans 10:9
Confession unto salvation: “With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9
Jesus said: “Whoever confesses me before men, I will confess him before the Father in heaven” Mat. 10:32
HEARING, BELIEVING, AND BEING SAVED :
The people of Samaria and the evangelist Philip [Acts 8:5-8, 12]
The Ethiopian man and the evangelist Philip [Acts 8:26-38]
The people of Jerusalem and Peter [ Acts 2:29-41]
Peter and the people in the house of Cornelius [Acts 10:34-48]
Paul and the Philippian jailer and his family [Acts 16:25-33]
REPENTANCE FROM SIN :
Jesus said: “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47
Paul wrote to the Corinthians: “For godly sorrow produces repentance
leading
to salvation…” 2 Cor. 7:10
The people of Jerusalem and Peter: Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before.” Acts 3:19-20
Paul speaking to King Agrippa: “But declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.” Acts 26:20-21
Paul writing to Timothy: “In humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth.” 2 Tim. 2:25
One of the foundations of the faith is repentance: Hebrews 6:1
Peter: “The Lord is not slack concerning
His
promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
The Pharisees, the woman who was a sinner, and Jesus [Luke 7:36-50]
