WHY CAN WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT JESUS CHRIST?

1. How can we believe what Jesus says is true? For the Word of God, the Bible declares it.


2. How can we believe the Bible? Because it is God’s truth. The Holy Spirit of God inspired humans to write God’s truth given to the human race.


3. The Bible took over 1500 years to write. There are 66 books and 40 authors the Holy Spirit used and inspired in order to write it. The main theme from beginning to end is really a story of love — the story of God’s love for his creation, a creation that has continually rebelled against Him. And because His creation chose to follow sin and rebellion, the Almighty God sent His Son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for humans’ sins.


4. So to answer the first question of who is Jesus Christ, we can say believing His Word to be true that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in divine unity with Father God and the Holy Spirit.


5. We also believe, because it is in His Word, that God sent Jesus to this world to be a sacrifice for humans’ sin and to reconcile humanity with the Father. Jesus came to save humans from their sin; and to bring them out from the Satan’s kingdom of darkness and bring them to God’s kingdom [Col. 1:13].


6. This is very serious because of what Jesus said about Himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” This means that only Jesus can bring you to God, the Father, the eternal God, the Creator of the Universe. Nothing else has the power or authority to do this — Jesus only!


7. If you want to be set free from Satan’s kingdom of darkness, receive forgiveness for your sins, and receive the eternal life that only Jesus can give you, then you must believe in Jesus, confess him as your Savior, repent of your sins and your allegiance to the devil and his kingdom, and receive the forgiveness of sin that only Jesus can give you and you will receive eternal life.
